Above is an auction site in my area that has 2 old Vulcan stoves, {https://www.auctacity.com/on-the-block/auction/?which=190} & ELECTROLUX SERVEL 2 DOOR REFRIGERATOR / ICE BOX WITH PARTIAL WOOD DOORS. Your show has inspired my already “outside the box” creativity and I thought the stoves would be so cool as work space kitchen islands, cut the backs out, put black high gloss doors on with slide out shelves, spice and book shelves on the ends and glass tops. Lower the tops to a small curve and top with counter top for bar stools n opposite side. As for the frig; create a stand alone pantry. Gut the inside and with that dead space on end use for spice and bottles.
I of course do not have the resources to do such a project but the imagination is a wonderful thing. I am better sticking to my smaller projects with glass.

    Thanks for sharing.

I’m a HGTV and DIY junkie. In my opinion, the show is one of the best conceived, produced and filmed shows on the network. West End’s employees (cast) are fun, interesting folks and they tell a good story when the producer puts the pieces of the puzzle together. All the best! P.S. I don’t work on the show or know anyone involved with it.

I started watching the HGTV channel not too long ago. I LOVE IT. I stumbled on West End Salvage just by accident. The show has inspired me to work on some projects around my home. I have a metal outside wood stove that I am going to REPURPOSE..I like that word. It is old and beat up. Dont want to paint but I did spray it good to keep original look but freshen up.The top portion I put in my neighbors yard. I will put a plant on that one. The base I’m keeping and I envisioned planting flowers on the inside and adding some type of light..not sure how to do it yet but it will be a work in progress…thanks again West End Salvage Crew…I enjoy watching you All!

Hi, I looove your show! It’s great what the man can create isn’t? And you guys have a great imagination.

A few months back I saw you guys create a media center from a wood laboratory counter (or something like that) using thie piece of furniture and adding tubes. Is it possible to have a picture of it?

    Best regards,

    Alejandra

I love Don Short and his crew. They are extremely creative. I now look at everything and think”Hmmmm what can I turn that into?” I bought an 1881 church, about 700 square. Ft. A couple of years ago. After major repair and restoring involving floor, inside doors, original BEAD BOARD, and exterior work; steeple, lap boards…..a water and sewer line was put in and I HAD to attach and pay for it. Long story short, a copper pipe in the wall burst over the weekend. Monday morning 2+ feet of water ( AND It was not Holy Water)destroyed so much. No flood ins. Township not responsible. So my future retirement home and all I refurbished was destroyed.
I need to pay off my home improvement loan. Oh, because no one was living in it, I could not get regular home ins. So, this nurse of 35 years needs to work more than ever. My church pew from the early 1800′s is warped in every direction. I am still searching for a bell for the chapel. I have not given up.:)

Love the business and different personalities involved in a “team” setting to create such unique rooms and useful items…from old and allegedly discarded items….yes please!! Even love the “Dart”! I saw the preview of your up and coming new show. This is the kind of tv show I’ve been waiting for. Im a trash to treasure person myself , but I’m not as good as you are.

Love your creativity and the use of salvageable items. I can’t wait until your show is aired in February.
My husband and I will be going to South Dakota this year and plan on stopping in your store on the way back home, I hope to find a uniquie item to bring home. And I will wear cute shoes so maybe I will get a better deal.

If interested I can send pics and there might be some other odd stuff I’m just now sorting out. Just trying to save me a drive north if you weren’t interested.
    Thanks in advance,
